I slacked off during the weekend.
I will be doing my running and stuff again today.
Diagnosis confirmed and Rx started just today. Hypothyroidism. Sucks, but at least we got it figured. So, it will take a few weeks to start to feel any different, but hopefully I will be on the road to getting better.
Thanks to my honey for helping me research it and understand it and explain in English what it meant. :p
Btw, I hate it when I'm right (it was my first guess as to what was going on!). ;)
Ah - damn.
Kind of suspected that when I re-read your original posts about it, Vicki.
Like you say, though, you incorporate that into your life and deal with it - there's no end to that kind of thing, seems like - the other day I stopped to count the physical infirmities my wife or I could probably parlay into a disability claim.
I stopped at five.
Anyway, my daughter's two pregnancies have delivered the same verdict; she's diabetic into the bargain, but the HT-ism is just another fact in her crowded life.
Your life is kinda crowded, too, so here's predicting it fits without too much attending crap.
One good thing is, once you get squared away with meds, etc., a LOT of other little anomalies might clear up, too - things you might not even be noticing.
Here's hoping. :)
did it hel out at all? i have been doing it for three days and actually am not missing breakfast it just hard not to take in any calories in the morning .been fasting from about 9pm till noon the next day then trying to eat according to their schedule and plan
It was my very first suspicion, but I had some other things going on (which is why I truly went to the hospital). The weight gain and other HT symptoms was the second reason. Just glad to have a plan now. Hopefully it was caught early enough that no internal damage was done. Now I can make the adjustments I need to with taking the HT into consideration.
The doctor said I really won't see any change or feel anything for a couple of weeks, so I will be sure to keep popping in with the updates, Karen.
