Bought a pretty new one... I think the old one is jealous
I woke her from her winter slumber. Even after about three minutes of idle there as lifter tick :( on the plus the stock oil pressure gauge was at half the half mark the entire time.
Either way I have 3rd gen lifters waiting to be installed.
I also received:

i use rotella 15-40w. My car loves that stuff. jacking her up tonight and pulling the tcase off. Going to bring it and my new billet one to get put together and rebuilt by jacks tranns
I also run the rotella 15w40
Resurfaced rear rotors and installed a new gearbox/motor on my e-cutout.
Heading to the first HPDE for the year tomorrow at the new track close to me, The Ridge!
Installed 2 shiny things. Not the 2 shiny thing's I really want, but this will have to do for now, lol.
New pulley. Compared to the old ones.

New coolant reservoir. Much nicer than the old plastic jug.

Almost a perfect fit in the mounting holes of the old one, lol. Needs a little tweaking. Use brackets or some kind of spacers or fuse box is in the way

Put my power steering belt back on. Nice being able to steer with one hand again.
Messed around with the rear washer feed to front.
Replaced my MAF with a spare. Think I messed up my old one.
One of my 6x9's are in.
Not bad for the one hour of free time I had today :)
Drilling holes in the firewall for the clutch in my SL Spyder automatic. 6-speed going in soon.
Be sure to get a check valve for the washer fluid line. If you don't your nozzles will squirt when you hit the brakes. The rear tank is a little to high to not cause the fluid from squirting out when you hit the brakes. Drove me nuts.....
Pick one of these up and install it right before the split under the hood: Amazon.com: SWF Washer Check Valve: Automotive
I tried a few different ones out and this is the best one I came across.
Nice Nate! I am Jealous...
Test fit some things...

Oh, and I lifted the right half of the stuffing out of the cab to run wires - nothing currently photo-worthy, unless someone has never seen bubbled panels.
Where the hell is Mitoska when you need him? :)
What are the lengths to the center of you HEIM's?
Aluminum arms yes, AWS delete is completely aluminum, and I'm assuming you want measurement from balljoint center to heim center when fully collapsed?
Yup, sure do! There's a spare threaded bar bin at 3R and you can buy the heim ends. There's all sorts of varied lengths in sets. It'd be awesome if you could pass on the info.
If you need anymore I can dig around in the bin and see what they have and grab something for you if need be. They're not all purty though, just aluminum stock with threaded ends.
Pulled the old steering rack and getting ready to put the new one in. Also putting in polly sway bar bushings. Pics coming soon
Well after some wiggling, banging, throwing shit and a LOT of cursing the new rack is in. It's the f-ing devil! If it leaks I'm driving to FL and kicking the shit out of the guy that rebuilt it.
I bought my rack here.. great price and comes with new inner tie rod ends. (hope you didn't pay more than that)
1991*Mitsubishi*3000GT*Power Steering Rack Select Part from Steering Store
mine won't be difficult to replace though as I have the front sub frames off the car. Glad you got yours in.. I can see why it was such a bitch of a job.
No I paid way less but I'm using a FWD rack. My car is an AWD TT converted car with the 4 wheel steering deleted. Edit: I had new tie rod ends already. The new rack didn't have them.
I have all that stuff off. The bitch is getting the new rack mounted into the steering column. Make sure you you clean the splines off well if the people painted them. I had to take a breaker bar from the top and hammer the column onto the splines after I got it half way on.
Good luck man, Oh and you might want to buy new upper lines. I wish I did
Since photo bucket always arranges the pics backwards I'll just do this backwards.
Mounted polly swaybar bushing

You can see it's a bit loose for my liking.

New rack going in

I don't like how loose they are. They are much much better than the stock crap but I have a feeling I'll be changing these next year.
Does anybody know if the FWD sway bar is smaller than the AWD? Don't tell me 3sx has them listed different. Only answer if you know. Thanks
ah, ok. Mine has the AWS delete as well but I still wanted to use the same rack.. I bent over and bought 2 of the special steering rack plugs from 3sx.
I ordered new upper lines, minus the big rubber one that connects the hard line to the pump.. that one is $$$
Thanks for the tip about the splines.
just to clarify the rack came with the inner tie rods, not the outers. I did order new ones of those as well.
Next up is plumbing it to the air box.
is that the "i'm too cheap to buy kaze" mod? :suspect:
well heres my "im to cheap to buy cianci" mod. :lo5l:

Some great stuff has come out of the "I'm to cheap to buy..." category.
I think this allen bolt is leaking. I thought it was my main seal but there was oil in this hole. I wiped most of the oil out. You can see it has some kind of sealant in the threads but IDK where the oil came from if it isn't leaking. I'm thinking of taking it out and resealing it but I don't want to get crap in the engine. I assume this is just a place to flush the engine?
