I'm not sure. I know he didn't look great today, but he's looked pretty solid most of the year. Missed the first half of the game due to work, but 2nd half, o line didn't seem to provide him with a ton of time and receivers dropped quite a few easily catchable passes. That said, not sure who it falls on. Denver's offense looks fairly similar to what Carolina had under him. Lots of picks, rubs, short screens that rely on play action from the running game to get receivers good one on one looks on the outside (or a bubble of space to take off down the sideline.) Again, missed half the game and haven't seen Denver the rest of this year, but overall offense was a bit underwhelming and played too conservatively from what I could see. The few downfield passes I saw, Peyton sailed them. Not sure what was going on with him tonight though, I know Indy was bringing quite a bit of pressure.
Peyton hasn't been playing well for over a month. I think they said December was his worst month in his entire career. He has injuries and has for quite some time. I just get the feeling he doesn't want to continue this any further. He would very likely lose some weapons and coaches next year, there isn't really any reason to believe next season will be better than this one.
Bryant tried to make more out of that play than was needed. If he just catches the ball and goes down, without trying to score a TD, Dallass probably wins that game. Typical of a "me first" athlete in today's sports. Well, at least he'll make Sportscenter for the next week, just not the way he wanted to.
At first I was like, hey you spelled Dallass with two Ss, but then I realized you meant to... :lo5l:
Harbaugh ?Clearly Deception? From Patriots; Brady Says ?Figure It Out? « CBS Boston
standard fare from NE. And a league that isn't prepared to deal with events like this. I hope they get butt-raped by Indy.
indeed. to quote Brady, “I don’t know what’s deceiving about that. They should figure it out.”. are you kidding me? you know exactly what's deceiving about it. that's why you run the play. hell later in the same sentence you say that they should figure it out. shit like this makes it easy to hate the Pats. fact of the matter is they didn't think they could beat Balti straight up so they had to resort to trickeration.
Oh, c'mon - every play any team runs relies on trickery, but I don't hear anyone bitching about a fake handoff.
Yes, Belichick is the equivalent of a NASCAR crewchief, and my dislike of the Pats is as overwhelming as anyone's, but trickery within the rules is legit, period.
Nobody is saying that what the Pats did is illegal. Harbaugh is mad that his defense couldn't figure out what the Pats were trying to do? Isnt that like one of the biggest parts of the game, the chess match? Should the read option be illegal as well because the defense doesn't know if the QB is actually a RB or not?
The fastest the Pats declared someone ineledgable and then snapped the ball was like 6 seconds, that is plenty of time to change your defensive play.
