What did you do today to your 3/S?

Finally got my transmission back from pampena motorsports and wasted no time putting it in. I managed to do it myself with an engine hoist. I took it for a spin for the first time this year. Now that it is off the lift I was able to get my crappy sailboat inside for some much needed TLC:)

I took apart a 5-speed to get my center diff core sent out I've procrastinated on. The Quaife diff looks good so that'll get swapped over. I have two more transmissions to take apart which I may do tomorrow.

You can keep cruise. You just have to set up the switch differently.

Test fit the DP. Found out the rear pre-cat elem is for a 1st gen so no way that's going to work. Can't get the from pre-cat to mate up but that may be because of dealing with trying to line up all of the studs by myself. If I could pull the studs off of at least one thing them I might be able to try it. Soaking in PB Blaster now. I was able to mate up the front pre-cat elem though which is what I'm sure I'll use but I have to put a lot of stress on the DP to get it to line up. I'm thinking about having a flex section put in the front tube.

I plan on doing this at some point. Either mount the original switch somewhere or just fit another switch. Not enough room on the evo wheel to mount the stock one but maybe a smaller one could be done.

I Also tried the old turn the ignition on and off 10 times trick but no dice. Still light on.

what tune up kit?

I'm thinking about the gates kit on rockauto myself. heard they are the best bang for the buck.

put my new tranny in, put on my sandwich plate, moved the oil pressure sending unit, bled the clutch, put new orings on rear turbo intercooler pipe and ordered new tbolt clamps and couplers since discovering more that were torn. after that, fresh oil, take ou the interior and pout in the kirky race seat and new windshield.
