Better break 250whp.
I might. But the ram air effects nothing while on the dyno.
So this set up is for testing The effects of over sized ram air at speeds.
And to get rid of the God awfull crazy hood I used to have. LOL.
Most Dynos usually put a pretty powerful fan infront of the car.
How much Timing Advance are you currently running?
Balanced my tires yesterday and fixed a leaky bead. Chrome peel :sigh:

#2 reason why i don't want chrome wheels; i'd rather run polished.
yeah right. It is certainly not far lighter just because it isn't chromed. Have you actually researched into how thin chrome is?
"Decorative Chrome Plating is actually a thicker (.0008/.0012”) Nickel plating followed by a thinner (.00001”) Chrome plating to protect the Nickel plating from pitting and peeling. "
Chrome is a LOT easier to maintain than polished aluminum. You have obviously not owned chrome wheels.
Agree with Forest on this one. The problem with the stock chrome wheel peeling is that Mitsu used a two piece wheel, chromed both pieces and then pressed them together and welded the seam on the back. The stresses on the press fit in front create weak areas that peel over time. My Volk wheels have chrome center sections but they are bolt on so no issues.
hey Jim, since we are on the topic, do you think this cleaner is safe for chrome?

I have a set of re-chromed 95 TT wheels now and I don't want to mess them up.
Looks OK to me but I've found the 5 spoke wheels to be pretty easy to maintain with just a little water and a towel. I just use a latex glove and run my hand over them with the hose on low, then towel dry. If I had those million spoke jaguar wheels I would use this product or something like it.
i've never been able to compare "exact-design" to "exact-design" so yes, you're probably right on the weight. that said, the vast majority of chrome wheels are cast--which is why they tend to have heavier weights than any of their non-chromed, spin-forged counterparts. that's an indictment on the process, not the chrome--but chrome IS the default "bling" for low-quality wheels.
i've never had a problem keeping my polished wheels shiny when i wanted to. didn't take that much effort *shrug*
New DD.. Still have the VR4 though.

Waiting on some parts and a spot in the garage.

Planning on polishing the exhaust tips and the rims sometime soon. Here's the car as it looks now. :)

Nice! The wheels are already pretty shiny :)
BTW, don't expect too much out of the tips, they always seem to go back to the brushed look, at least in my experience.
This is our new look for TXG. No more hood scoop. LOL

Looks sleeper now.
Different year rear bumper on the car? Pearls don't match.
Specs on wheels plz, FN01RCs?
Car not painted yet. LOL. That is the primer gray from 2 years ago.
It will end up the same color as the engine bay when finished.
Everything but hood is origenal. I thought it was time I put a little effort in to my own cars for a change.
Looking good GT.
TX was a blast, but no dyno, Grrr, and no 1/4 mile runs do to wind.
1/8 was open. But I drove from Dallas and had to drive back.
So no beating the car hard. Only did 1 run. No tune, and trying not to brake.
This is 1/8 mile with a 9.549 @ 75.76 ET. Just a little wheel hop. but once I got tracyion I was gone.
The new intake rocks. Trying to set up ofr dyno in a couple weeks. It was fun anyways.

No dyno or lower nunbers? Lol just messin
Fair question from anyone that did not go to our TXG. Had you been there, you would know.
The Dyno shop got broken into on thursday. They Vandelized the equipment and other cars that were in the shop.
If I had low numbers, I would not have been afraid to post them. Everything I do is above board and on the table.
My car is for R&D and this work I do is for you folks out there. If I find shit that does not work, I would post so.
If I find things that work, I post so. All My cards are always on the table. I am never afraid to post my work or the results of that work.
I try not to miss any of your stuff, cuz it's such a nostalgia-trip.
I only ever had one truly stem-to-stern project, and it wasn't one I'd have chosen, but I have done all of it at one time or another.
I knew it was over for me when I got a call at work once from the shipper who delivered my first store-bought rotisserie.
I got home two hours later to discover my ex had already sold it..

Hope you can make it too NG next year. Would love to play against other NA's. You would have a blast taking my car for a spin.
Or should I say trying to catch me. LOL. THat and would love to look at your work.
Lol i plan to be there. But most likely will Not be N/A anymore by that time. 3/4 the way through TT conversion lol
TT ha. Well that's Cool. But, you can't use that as an excuse. Still going to eat your lunch anyway. LOL. :)
Drags yeah probably, I doubt ill even enter. AutoX and road course. We shall see lol
