As per the title, these are my new wheels. They are Mickey Thompson Pro-5ET's in a 15x8 with a 4.5" backspace and will be wrapped in Hoosier Quick Time Pro 26x9.50x15 tyres for the strip.
They weigh in at a measly 10.8 lbs each and the tyres at a skinny 17 lbs each! The wheels and tyres combined will save around 40 lbs of rotational mass in total over last years already light Volk CE28N / Mickey Thompson ET Street combo.

It's gonna be really interesting to see how you'll do this season with all these changes. Just removing that amount of rotational mass alone should make a noticeable change on your times.

A quick update, we made most of the changes detailed a few posts back but not the side exit exhausts and have not run the race wheels yet due to the sleeve nuts being too long.
We also changed the downpipe / collector to what it should have been last year and added screamer pipes, solid internally shimmed lifters and a NICE set of custom cams I had made! On 91 octane pump, after running in, I got them to do a pull and at 16 psi / 1.1 bar with -5° timing it made 675 hp / 5xx ftlbs. That is the minimum power I can ever run now!
Whilst mapping Ben's comments were those cams are awesome!
Once mapping, I decided we would stop tuning as soon as we saw 1000 hp. We got 1006 hp / 96x ftlbs at 32 psi / 2.2 bar with only 11° of timing, so plenty left. I thought this was a European record but have since been told that SAf made 1300 hp on Virtual Dyno with his race car.
So we took it to Ten of the Best for a shakedown (I haven't driven the car for a year). First run I rolled it out of the hole gently then nailed it, got a 10.12 @ 153 mph with. 2.0 60', a new pb and European TS record I believe.
Second run I launched it (without 2 step) and with a 1.77 60' netted another European record 9.81 @ 153 mph. First in the 9s in Europe.
Third run, same approach, got. 1.8 60' and backed it up with a 9.89 @ 153 mph.
Sunday was a mixed bag, first run with launch control and the tyres lit up badly. Second run, problems at home had my head elsewhere and I hit the limiter in 3rd and it took me a while to figure out I had forgotten to shift. Still netted a 9.94 @ 149 mph though. Third run aborted due to a missed shift. Fourth run I tried the other lane which seemed to have more grip. Half way through first, sudden lock up. Turned out to have no 2nd gear left, tc smashed and Carbonetics triple plate carbon clutch smashed. Gearbox is off for analysis but personally I suspect something failed in the gearbox which locked up and took the tc and clutch with it under sudden reverse load.
What I can say though is the motor felt so strong, not fast but strong. I would rather have a motor that feels strong than fast because I know it's not stressed and it's taking everything in its stride.
Currently putting my spare RPS carbon clutch and Kormex synchro box in as my next event is on 17th August.
Another change is we will try fitting Nelsons motor plate which we've already had in the car but it sat about 15 mm too high. I'm not sure whether it's because of the car being right hand drive and things like the steering rack being the opposite way round but I had 10 mm machined off the feet of the motor plate and we're going to try it.

Congratulation on the 9 sec pass. Which transmission were you running when it happened? The dog box or the sequential box you were talking about before? Also what is the spec on the cams and where did you make it unless it a secret. :D
