I think its more that she's unknowingly supporting the cartels. A lot of people think the mexican cartels make most of their money from hard drugs like cocaine and heroin, when in fact the majority of what they move is marijuana.

But the majority of the people that smoke weed don't get it from mexican cartels...especially people that look like her. Most of it comes from California or British Columbia, or local growers.

There are potheads, and then there are potheads. She could very well be hippy-chic, but still buy her weed from that guy down the hall, who gets it from a guy he knows, who really gets it from the cartels. Or it could be the Hell's Angels...the local guys tend to grow for people they know, so they're growing and dealing...anything bigger than that tends to draw the attention of whatever organized crime is in the area.

I guess that most of the drug consumed on the USA comes from Mexico, so it can't be possible that the majority smoke weed from the USA don't you think?

Way, way too much Hollywood in that statement...

Simple. The cartels are now growing it here. They've been arrested in KY, TN and CA doing just that, on forest service land.

Saves them the trouble of bringing it into the country.
