Sweet, SA2015 helmets arent available until Oct 1 this year. This effectively halves the value of the helmet I now have to buy. Maybe I will just rent one at the track for road course and use the M I have for autocross and drags.

Shit, forgot you can only preorder 2015. I need coffee...... or sleep.
... or, in my case, both.
So is the SA 2010 helmet requirement only for the road course? or is it for AutoX also?
I'm only doing the Touring lap for the road course so I can't justify the cost of buying a new helmet. Trying to find someone local I can borrow one from for the week if need be. prefer to not have to rely on the track not having them to rent.
Requirement is 2005 or better
Never, and I mean never, retorque your lug nuts with hot wheels. Torque them at the beginning of the day and ignore them until the next day or at night after they cooled completely. Its a great way to snap all your studs.
Is snell M 2005 ok for autocross and drags? That is the question that was implied.
Will the track be renting helmets the day of the event?
Also 30 seconds on the phone with Mitch from the track confirmed that facilities will be open on our track day with helmets available to rent for 25 dollars. They have about 15 total.
That wasn't so hard.
Yeah, I'll have to rent also now that I know they are available!
If you are looking for a good deal on a SA2010 helmet this is the best one I've found... $132
Sears.com
I just bought this guy:
RaceQuip Pro Model Open Face SA2010 Auto Racing Helmet - SafeRacer
I prefer open face. Not a fan of white, but pretty cheap. Hope it gets here in time for NG.
Question for the NG committee, Are there spots reserved for Sponsors/Vendors to set up?
Seeing as the car show will be at a Cars and Coffee meet, we will not be setting up there....
Is Friday a free for all? Explore Nashville if we want day?
Nothing official for friday.
With Nashville and Beach Bend Amusement Park in the area I am sure there is a ton for people to do.
I am thinking about setting up a unofficial trip to the Go-kart track we were hoping to use this year.
I tried but after you enter in your zip code it grays out the shipping option with "Shipping Temporarily Unavailable". So I'm thinking the helmet is not actually for sale. They just messed up the pricing discounts on it and killed off the shipping option until they can fix it....lol
Look around. I just put in SA2010 into Amazon and there is a decent selection of both open face and full face helmets in the $150 range and even less.
Here is a full face one for $110 shipped.

Google on RQP-274 I found it at Racer Part Wholesale:
http://www.racerpartswholesale.com/p...FUeUfgodCjYAZg
for $103.95. Came with a lightweight bag to protect from scratches.
I must have gotten one hellofa good deal. Racer parts no longer has in catalog and other places are asking $179. Must have been a stock reduction in prep for SA 2015
I was able to cancel the order... Thanks for looking out Doc!
I'm sorry about that. I looked too fast and didn't notice it was M either. :(
There are other ones on Amazon in the $150 price range though.
No biggie, I missed it also. :p
Pisses me off that searching for "Snell SA 2010" in amazon brings up a bunch of shit that is not even close to that rating cause the damn seller includes shit like "Not SA 2010 rated" BS
Yeah. I was too excited in trying to help and only saw 2010 and missed the M. At least Kenny caught it and you were able to cancel the order.
Vendors are always allowed to set up wherever we can allow it. If I'm not mistaken, the track is NOT an option this year. I'll double-check the contract.
Any word on the vendor setup... And does that also mean that we can't set-up canopies and such to stay out of the sun???
Vendors are NOT allowed to set up at the track. Even the NG can't sell anything there. Strict rules, frankly. Stricter than other tracks. However, a canopy can be set up. That's not a problem, there will just be some restrictions as to where. That's to be expected.
OK, I can't sell anything. But I can show things off though correct? Like a product showcase.... I have display stands showing powdercoat and hydro dip patterns so I should be safe to set those up. That is all example products, none of it is for sale.
So if we can't sell at the track, where else can we set up to sell? The three main events are at the track and the car show is at cars and coffee which probably won't let us set up either... So what does that leave us??
The hotel is usually where business happens.
I agree with Chris. it's not usually even worth it at the tracks. If there's room in the registration room, we allow vendors to set up there. It's first come - first serve for space. You can always set something up in the parking lot, which is usually your best opportunity. And also at the banquet hall. You'll be asked about that at registration so we can plan accordingly. As for the car show, again... Not a good place for it anyway, but I'm not sure what the rules will be. The location has been moved and I found out late last night, so I don't even know what the new place is like yet.
As far as showing stuff off at the track, that's a technicality that I'm not sure I'd try to cross with this track. They have a very long list of rules, and seem to enforce them very strictly. I could be wrong, and it could just be a better-written contract than most, but my impressions are that I wouldn't risk it.
Please refer any other sponsorship questions to an email or a private message. I'm not sure we need to carry this on publicly when it applies only to the sponsors. Also, you're likely to get a quicker answer that way. I don't always remember to check everywhere for questions.
I got my Zamp helmet in from Saferacer, it's pretty darned nice. Light and seems well built. It does smell funny though :p
Febreze?
