Done. I'll add her name to the shirts on Monday, and our team will all walk in her honor. Thanks, guys.
Thank YOU!!
Thanks, guys, but this isn't about me. This thread is about Brenda, and a wonderful life lost way too soon. It's about remembering that while so many survive breast cancer these days... There are those who don't. I think sometimes we forget that it's not 100% curable yet. And we need to strive to make that happen. I don't want to lose anyone else... Brenda made a huge impact on this community. While I didn't have the priviledge of knowing her, I DID have the priviledge of sharing her journey through her posts, Rick's posts, her conversations with Chris on Facebook, things like that... I only wish I'd known her better. I couldn't be at the memorial... So this is just a small way I can honor her and hopefully give Rick a little something... just some knowledge that people are doing what they can so no one else has to endure what they have.
That's very nice Lori.
Lori, I know that this would mean a lot to her and I know that it will touch Rick. It's such a meaningful way to keep her memory going strong and through a cause she was dedicated to.
She was a tremendous person with so much energy and love. She deserved a lot better than she had to go through, but she handled it all with grace, humor and optimism. I hate that you never got to meet her in person. I hate that so many didn't get to meet her. I will miss her calls, making her cards, seeing her at BRG, listening to her talk about JR and Rick and being home and with her friends. While I am comforted that she did not have to go through more pain, my heart goes out to Rick and her close friends. It's hard for us, but so much more so for those within her inner circle.
