Quoting myself, because this is something I want to see happen.Quote:
Just to settle some nerves, Alan, can you set it up so we can wipe our posts after you verify us? That way you can grab the info you need, and then let us placate security concerns. I know I'd like that.
My goal is a system that quick and easy to verify.
Harder to get past that what the old place used.
I do understand the concerns. I will think about this see if I can come up with a reasonable quick process that will address the issues presented.
Yeah I too am a bit weary to post that information online. I know I could black out the REALLY personal information. When things are deleted online, we all know that the information is just transferred to some unknown place.
I can see the point in verifying such documentation for a minimal scammer-free forum but.... I dont know.
IMO, the classifieds section is very important to this forum's success.
I think the key is to have multiple ways to verify. One suggestion is that we could cross-reference 3si seller feedback with our new accounts here. Sellers with X amount and X % rating are "grandfathered" in. Obviously there would have to be verification that they are the same person. That could be done via a simple PM reply on 3si and here. I, for one, think past transactions and reputation count for something. This idea takes care of a lot of our senior members.
I also think the new way is way overboard. Not going to post personnel info even if it's private. I can post my drivers license "Image" but the Drivers ID number and my signature will be blacked out, same with a bill...ALL info besides address will be blocked out. Will this be acceptable?
Also would like to become a sponsor and asked about it in the Classified sales verification post but I never heard anything back yet
All I want from the images is the address. I have no issue if any other personal details are blanked out.
Bob, I need to get the sponsor page done so we can determine where you'll fit. (If you fall where I think you will its dirt cheap)
Where is the classified section? And why is it so hard to find?
