major downgrade to me but each to his own
You can say it all you want, but I have seen this TA eat two stock 93+vr4's before I owned it. Plus mines a 95.( I like to just add that even tho it doesn't really matter). So until I put it up against one myself, it's all hear say. Also have to add that one of those vr4's was dead heading his turbos at around eh 19 psi or so. .
It matches my driving, so I wouldn't classify it as a downgrade. Shit, the way that retail on 3s's go they are just as easy and common to get your hands on these days as a trans am.
I have a hard time believing that a stock LT-1 could beat a healthy stock VR4.
You should totally swap in an LS-1.
The numbers favor the VR4 even with the TA being around 400lbs lighter. The VR4 has a better 0-60 and better e/t, but admittedly not by much. I suspect the wins you saw the TA net against VR4's were all driver mod. Remember the race between a certain Accord and Jeep Cherokee, the Jeep was faster but the Honda still won.
Not to mention that a stock VR4 with dead headed turbo's is the definition of an unhealthy car. More boost doesn't always equal more power.
So in short take your new toy to the track and see what it can do. Then you don't have to speculate on how fast it is.
Alex, haters gonna hate.
My mom always said that people who act badly towards you ( or even put you down) are secretly jealous. ;)
Levi I will prob try and take it up to a test and tune. That or a day I can actually get it in and try to lay down some decent numbers.
True more boost is not always better.
