Woman jumps from moving car after seeing spider, causing wreck, - Boston News, Weather, Sports | FOX 25 | MyFoxBostonQuote:
SYRACUSE, Ind. — In a move that ultimately caused a wreck, an Indiana woman apparently leaped from her moving car Friday when she spotted a spider crawling on her shoulder, The Associated Press reports.
According to the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department, Angela Kipp, 35, of Syracuse was in the car with her 9-year-old son, who was in the back seat. As she backed out of her driveway, she saw the spider and panicked, then jumped from the car, police said. Her son reportedly moved into the front seat and tried to stop the vehicle, but he accidentally hit the gas pedal and sent the car careening into a school bus.
The boy was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, police said. The bus driver was not hurt, and no passengers were on board.
VW is really getting it over that emissions debacle....

Heard that on the radio this morning, its great LOL.
I HATE having to pause ghostery blocking so I can view shit. So many goddamn trackers on the internet. 17 on that page according to ghostery.
what?
That's pretty demotivating, IPD.
New drinking game. Drink every time that dude says Jay. You'll be smoked in 5 minutes.

Nor do I when everyone else's internet movements are easily tracked by a 13 year old hacker with basic forensic tools. Do you people even lock your houses when you leave? I mean i know ^ this chowderhead packs heat--but that won't keep your electronic trail out of the hands of miscreants.
You don't want/like being so called "tracked"..... GTFO the internet!!
Oh sure, that's rational. Like saying that if I don't want to be burglarized, I shouldn't have a house/apartment. Seems legit. Might as well insinuate that staying off the road is the only way to prevent being in an accident--so no point in having a driver's license.
Point being that you can SAFELY conduct yourself during various activities. You learn to drive defensively. You learn to use deadbolts, security systems, etc. And preventing various ad trackers & other junk--from monitoring your browsing habits--is just another similar safety protocol. Something that SHOULD be done if you're a diligent & conscious user. Then again, I'm sure you haven't a fucking clue what Conficker is, why Flame is one of the new breed of smart-worms, and why you SHOULD care about what is happening around the internet behind the scenes.
So this story is for everyone else who actually DOES give 2 shits about being safe with their personal info online.

He's right. And that's why this country is headed into the shitter. Keep saying it though. It's the 21st century equivalent of:

P.S.
Jeremy, of all sane people left on this forum, I would have thought you'd have had more sensibilities about the internet. I'm sorry to see I was wrong about you.
Not even worth an argument.

The short of it is, no one is in this thread for a lecture.
Ah, this place...
apples to oranges. yes they are both fruit but that's about it. it's more like never get married and you won't have to worry about getting divorced. if someone can bring my life to ruin or even slightly inconvience me because I can see pics and videos on a car forum then so be it. I'm not going to live in fear of that for one second.
I don't get the golf stuff. What happened with them?

You have to stop seeing your life in a vacuum of isolated moments.

20 years ago, this amounted to recent memory, things you did that were personally witnessed, etc. Currently, virtually anything goes--from metadata to things you googled. True, the NSA may well keep track (and many ISP's). But you don't also have to allow 2 dozen 3rd party trackers to also monitor your online presence. The less hands on my data, the better. I may--in fact--be doing nothing illegal online. But god forbid my personal property gets seized during some BS investigation, I really don't need the 1st thing to be seen is targeted browsing ads based on kinky stuff I happened to look at 6 months ago.
If the US society in general was a LOT less prudish, this might be a different story. As it stands, virtually ANY vice you indulge in--even in moderation--brands you a social pariah. Porn? Pervert. Alcohol? Drunk. Marijuana? Drug addict. Swinger? Immoral. Gambler? Lack of self control. I've been waiting for society to change it's medieval draconian views on vice...pretty much as long as I've been alive. There's just too many prudish bible thumpers & overprotective baby boomers (Hey, what I did in the 60's was fine for ME--but damn you if you ever try to do any of the same things). So as long as the social verdict on vice is (for lack of better term) just this side of Iranian, I'll keep my trackable online presence to the minimum extent possible. To include VPN service if I so choose.
Breaking News!
Volkswagen has announced that it has just acquired partial ownership of the New England Patriots. According to the CIO, "When you have two organizations that are this adept at side-stepping every rule in the book, it just makes sense. We have so much to learn from each other."
I should have posted it myself. ;)
