Ok good ideas. I was at work and contemplated wrapping a shop rag around my sticker scraper but didnt want to accidentally slice my dash.

Wrapped up the Water Pump change and new timing belt installation.....so easy yet such a pain in my @$$. NOW I can get back on track with the engine and transmission mating and drop that bad boy in. Having nightmares about it BUT...I will manage.
Installed an amazon.com ptu and it does not work. Do not buy this ptu. The car idles and drives fine but when you drive it, the tach moves very jerky like it gets a signal every half a second. I put the stock one back in and no tach problems. So much for preventative maintenance today. Other than that I adjusted my base idle. 700rpm solid. 25psi oil pressure. Also hit 14psi on 9bs, which is very boring.
Stared doing an integrated install of my speed meter, turbo timer, and boost controller into the center vents. I've never used them as they dry my eyes out, so I figured what better place?
I just cant decide if I should put the boost controller in the middle, or keep it on the bottom?

I put a lot of christmas lights in front of the spyder and vr4
Installed wideband and did several logs with the datalogger
drove it like I stole it!!
Glad someone actually drives there cars on this website.
Making sure she is ready for a 3.1 mile 2 days of road coarse racing this weekend.

I drive mine when its not cold as fcuk outside
I drive mine everyday. Mine likes the cold. 0 knock now :)
New rotors, and pads and taring motor down to fish whatever got cuaght in my waterpump somehow out. Its making a ticking noise Ish occasionsly.
Driver side rear wheel bearings replaced, car is quiet again, yay.
Checked my right rear suspension and confirmed I have a bad Tein H tech spring. With a 1 inch wheel gap the tire rubs the lip of the wheel well on bumps. Never happens on the left side and I swapped ECS struts with the problem remaining on right rear. These came from ebay and have authentic looking markings but you never know for sure.
:(
I struggled to find out why my tachometer continuously read 400-500 RPMS low, until warm, and then they seemed CLOSE to normal....
This morning when I started it (sub 20°F temps, the tach sat @ ZERO).....
Solution was BAD GAUGE CLUSTER. I spent a few hours swapping "stuff" (donor had white face gauges) around, but finally got a working tach....BONUS!....my car lost 13K miles during the surgery!!! (don't worry kids, I do not plan to sell my car AND if I did, I would disclose the info :) )
Bob.
Ordered more parts. Can't wait till stuff starts coming in.
Bob it's very easy to modify the odo if you want to find it forwards to match yours. However the easier thing would be to swap out just the tacho and leave your origional speedo.
Worked on dialing in my car. Tps sensor was only reading 89% wot. Adjusted it to the closest I could get which is. 99.8% at wot. And 23* timing at wot with 0 knock
Tinted it yesterday 15% all the way around

^^^ Looks great.
I need to get some tint... My car has none and it is like, "Hey, look at the stuff inside of me, take it please"
My car had that nasty purple cheapo tint. Was peeling and it made it hard to see out the windows everything looked blurry. Getting new tint soon. Good tint...
took it from an engine-less hulk to being nearly ready to drive it. also installed my underbody channel & (for lack of the old one) installed one of my new purple radiator hoses. :D
Started it up backed it out of the garage. Took some pics, drove it around the block and then parked it back in the garage.
"Think" I fixed my 10° off steering issue today...(got it close, then made another small adjustment, and then called it a day...)
Will report back tomorrow....
Bob. :)
Washed her at the car wash, pressure rinse, pressure w/ soap, hand wash, pressure rinse, shamoix dried :) Looks good again.
Tied off the gauge lines, they were rubbing along the front of the motor along the belts behaving erratically. Need to do an alignment, rear is all jacked up
I got my tint from a local shop that offers a lifetime warranty, 5% all around.
Unfortunetly in TN u r limited to 35% tint...unless ur a cop of course. Then u don't have to obey the law
i'd happily run 75% tint (barely tint at all) if i could run full mirror tint. unfortunately, that's not the case.
I can tell you right now that is wrong. PA window tint law is 30%.
you can tint the fronts 35 in il now
Got pissed at mine cause it leaks coolant from the petcock valve in the radiator
Mine does too LOL. I just capped it with a vacuum nipple cap LOL.
Pulled the engine yesterday.
Cursed at it.
sounds like a perfect day.
by the way, is anyone here good with electronics? specifically, my canon eos xti camera is broken. it won't turn on, and i believe she needs some very particular soldering.
and today, i finally gave anibel some much needed attention. i fixed my slouchy intercooler pipes! tomorrow i will drive her with the bumper off. :)
