Hey! My name's Mirw. I'm new here, and to the stealth/3000gt community. I'm looking at buying a stealth because it seems like a really fun car to own, and drive! I came here for some advice, and with a few questions. I can't wait to join the club!
Thanks - great site...own a 91 r/t tt...
I am not sure I need to reply, but I keep getting messages that I am not allowed to view things.
Hey all, i'm Ahmet from the UK, my old man has had a '91 GTO since '06 and I figured it would be a good time to sign up here as there are a few questions we need answering!
I am PhunkyMonkey. I am not related to bodgemonkey above. You see, I am Canadian.
*edit* I have neglected to mention prior, wifey and I are looking to purchase a 1991 Stealth. Blue. Yeah, blue.
My previous experience with Dodge vehicles is limited to... Dodge Neons.
Hi, I'm IK3GT. I'm from Mexico. My love for the 3000GT goes ALL the way back to high school. I saw those beautiful things that asked for nothing to all those american muscle/pony cars that everyone loved in school (nothing against them, I just had different tastes). My first car was a 1997 Base Eagle Talon, which I loved but had to let it go in April this year.
Now that I finished my master degree, in June I bought a really beaten and all around neglected 1998 Base Mitsubishi 3000GT with a manual gearbox for about 1500 bucks, the car had some bumps, deteriorated interior, the rev gauge doesn't work and a f-d up gearbox. I had to do some surgery to the car by getting a gearbox that had the same code as the one in the car, but the original axles had a bigger diameter than the differential in the new gearbox. After 3 weeks of struggling with the guys who got it for me I offered them a deal of doing some "surgery". I told them if they let me open both gearboxes and find if the differential from one gearbox fits in the other one and let me do a "transplant", I would return the old gearbox with the diff replaced and not ask for my money back (note: it was an buy with exchange of parts). They agreed and it worked.
After weeks of feeling "buyer's guilt", I love my car now. I still need to do some repairs but the car is working well and I can't wait to restore it until it shines.
Edit: Also it has some "Sweet" but unfitting 20 inch chrome wheels. And I don't like them and they ruin the ride, so I'm looking some smaller ones to change them.
