It has to do with the beginning of the thread where people were comparing sohc and dohc intake manifolds and the original poster started talking about a 6g73 2.5L sohc (24 valve) intake manifold and some people giving advice did not understand that. The 24 valve intake manifolds look similar SOHC and DOHC. 12 valves (2 valves per cylinder) have smaller intake ports because 2 valve engines use smaller intake ports for the same displacement. The actual choice of intake port size is based on valve size (an number of valves).

What about the injectors? I still think there are large gains to be made with a really good intake manifold. RPW already proved that and my current n/a setup has a VE fuel demand that doesn't drop off like you would expect above 6000 rpms even with stock cams/heads/exhaust manifolds. I was really hoping to get on the dyno to prove it.
