Hello everyone!!
Hey guys. Been a long time member of "the other forum"... Bought my car from that forum by trading my ZX9R and the modding began almost immediately. Car was bulletproof on the stock 17" rims. Drag strip parking lot dounuts, powerslides, etc.
Back in ~2005, i slid off the road, totally the 93 VR4 in a ditch by hitting a drainage pipe. After buying it back from insurance, things got real. 98 body kit, Deft Racing CF 575 Hood, DNP TD05 Kit, DNP FMIC kit and 14B turbos with a piggie back fuel controller was the start. Then came AEM EMS2, Meth, N02, CFDS, NoCar Transfer Case as well as Build 3.1L bottom end and stage 3 heads and 272 cams I was ready to rock. Well, life... that BITCH! Then father time... DICK!
Fast forward about 3 years, I find the car has become a garage queen because i just don't have the time, money, patience and desire to have the car correctly tuned. Ray is a 6 hour drive and my local dyno shop (STM Motorsports) wanted to make sure i was very aware that any engine failure was my fault... Didn't really instill a whole lot of confidence in them. So today, wedding planning, insane work, gym/fitness/ obstacle course running, and a house it taking all my time. I am ready to pull the plug on my beautiful Mitsu and share my parts with the rest of the community who is willing to take that jump and make something amazing from this platform. My friends and I have gone back and forth on the next platform after this one. NOTHING sticks out in our price range, nothing! I think GTR is a good step, but who has $60K for a used car and 5K for a break job when its due... I think Cayman S might be a good move, but look at repairs costs. EVOX? Maybe dead platform after 2015. STI? WRX is a better deal with the new motor design. Anwyays. This is me. Glad to be here. Alan was a master on 3SI and look forward to staying in contact with 3000GT platforms for my life. Met a lot of internet friends here and shared tons of advice and help over the years.
