I couldn't figure out for life of me why I could see hardly any of the forum. Apparently I need to post here first. :GB_bonesrock:
Hi, I just joined. I have a yellow 94 VR4, that I bought new. It was my daily driver until 2006 when took it off the road to become a dedicated track car. I fitted upgraded front calipers and rotors (AP 6 pots) brakes, 18" wheels, adjustable Tein coil-overs (big mistake), and all new wheel bearings, bushings, front uprights and drive shafts, front and rear camber kits, etc.
However, I took a different direction and started doing track days on a bike instead. So my VR4 was an occasional car until about 2 years ago when the stock ECU stopped driving the IAC so it would not idle propely.
Last spring, I fitted a flash ECU from Jester and new IAC unit. However, that gave me a new problem - it only runs on all 6 if its WOT and in open loop. Otherwise it runs on 3 from idle to 4,000RPM when warm.
Then I had a run in with cancer so work on the car stopped - until now. The cancer is gone and I'm ready to put my VR4 back on the road.
I'm having difficulty getting a response from chromedecu.org - what's the scoop there?
Has anybody else had a similar problem with a CA car running on 3 after fitting a flash ECU?
Hey all! Just looking around for rear solid subframe bushings :)
I hope you're right because I can't either. I hope this works.
Just read it. Thanks.
