You must not be used to seeing precision work. Again, the hubs/uprights depicted are billet. They were machined in house at 3R. The same shop that builds these cars for this race team right here... K-PAX Racing - Video

It's not cast, when I worked at a machinist/fabricating shop, I did very precise pieces like this as well, some of which were extremely complex head scratchers that took hours of planning. Done properly, CNC Machining should look like this... If you're seeing a lot of toolmarks, you didn't do a very good job.
Unfortunately... I never got around to making anything for my car, I wish I had. I was told I could do and use whatever I wanted, if I wanted to. Silly me
Yeah a lot of people pass off machined cast pieces as billet, looks like not much billet other than the bracket on the side. http://i788.photobucket.com/albums/y...022712_020.jpg
Its a pretty bad ass looking hub but doenst look like 10K worth of work.

They just look kinda similar to a Porsche upright.

i keed, i keed :p
where are the updates?
I'm assuming you mean the person who has that screen name at 3si? Don? K-Pax and 3R Auto/ 3r Racing are not 3R-Tech. Despite what his screen name is, or what he might say, he's not a 3R Tech. It's a cool name but he doesn't work there.
I prefer to do my own work over shops like Don's (aka 3rtech). I can do it faster and just as good if not better. What I can't do on my own I pay for on a much more professional and prestigious level. I get the results I'm willing to pay for and it get's done on schedule. With guys like 3rtech you write a check and take a seat... for months, if not years, as history has proven.
... lots of guys out there you can be friends with but would never trust with finishing anything on time or entrust with money unless you're standing right infront of them watching them work...
As for the racecar, it's currently on hold till I sort out a few bugs on the street car. A few more hours of attention and it will be DD roadworthy and I can jump back into the racecar. I'm currently saving up for paint, I decided to hire it out.
