Game Night 7/10

Pretty funny and overall a good watch. I'd recommend it for a night at home with the GF or something.

Surviving Christmas. 0/10

GF insisted on watching this since she is obsessed with any and all Christmas movies. it was a complete and total piece of crap. it really seemed like Ben Afleck was trying to suck more than he normally does.

Robin Hood(the new one) 4/10

crap. it didn't have any natural flow to things and it was pretty boring overall. the only good thing about it was the broad that played Marion was a total smoke show.

A Simple Favor. 9/10

lots of twists and not what I was expecting at all. the GF wanted to watch this one afternoon when we had nothing to do. it kept me interested the whole time and I thought the acting was solid all around. there was a little bit near the end that I thought was a little out of place but I thought it was a really really well done movie. I'd recommend it to just about anyone. really shocked that I liked it so much.

she's got good taste in movies and tv shows. after all she did turn me on to Game of Thrones :lol:

Shazam 8/10

pretty good. funny, interesting story, solid acting and the visuals were good. nothing over the top. GF liked it too. she didn't think she'd like it at all before we saw it.

I should mention that I knew next to nothing about Shazam before the movie so I can't say if it stays true to the comics or not.

Shazam 8/10 while not perfect, they nailed the current version of the character and his origin.

Avengers Endgame 6/10 Its an emotional rollercoaster designed to generate emotional responses from the last 11 years of movies. It delivers that and action in spades. Unfortunately the plot is convoluted and not well thought out and I expected more from marvel based on what they have done so far.

I'm starting to see things in Marvel movies that I do not like. Some of the recent movies seem like they are designed to "hit buttons" to get people to like them and then try to mix a story into the predetermined plot points. I hope this was just moves to setup endgame and things will get back to normal now.

I'm with Alan. Endgame was a bit of a disappointment. It was ok, but not great. Several things that just didn't make sense--but I won't give spoilers. Let's just say that Miss Marvel could/should have been doing a LOT more and it would have greatly altered the outcome.
