I have kinda fallen off the horse a little bit lately in terms of food choices, however, I have made an honest effort to cut back my portions. They were offering Weight Watchers here at work and I couldn't stomach paying 150 dollars upfront for 3 months. I can learn portion control by just doing it rather than have someone preach it to me, which is what I am doing. I still need to schedule my appointment with the hematologist and find out what the scoop is there. Other than that, still taking all of the supplements my doctor recommended and it has definitely helped me greatly, the biggest difference came with the fish oil and magnesium. I have felt better with the magnesium, my bones and joints don't ache anymore and my muscles don't ache much anymore either. The fish oil has really helped me concentrate on tasks and helped me stay focused. I have been getting better sleep as well with the fish oil and I am more alert. The vitamin D3 has helped too, although I am not noticing too much of the effects. I think the fish oil and magnesium have the biggest effects on me. I am also noticing that the supplements I am taking are being completely absorbed (not passing much of the supplements in my urine) which means I had a major deficiency and a poor diet.
I think making the right supplement choices will increase your likelihood of losing weight through portion control and excercise. I did get a Kinect Sensor for my Xbox 360 and I have a Fitness game that I am trying to get more involved in. It has everything, yoga, cardio, zumba, etc.
I have been measuring my waistline by my belt.
I began with the metal end even with the edge of the belt buckle.
As you can see it's well past the first belt loop now.

Nice, way to go G!
I have a long way to go but its a start and I feel better.
I hope we can keep the thread going for any of us that needs support.
That is awesome sauce, Karen!!!! I'm so proud of you!
Been working a lot around the house lately, stacking wood, cleaning floors, playing with dogs, etc. Still working on mine, just in different ways.
Well, I took the plunge, I am now part of Weight Watchers for even more motivation. My work has offered it via a payroll deduction to help with the cost of signup so I can breathe easier about the cost. It isn't very significant, it basically comes out to I believe 20-30 dollars every pay which isn't bad. Once a month, I get paid for business use of my phone that is 35 a month so essentially I am paying 30 dollars or so a month for Weight Watchers. Now I can start counting points and changing my portions with extra support while doing it. So wish me luck!
