check out this s2000 with all the seam welding done to it.
not to hijack your treatd and you may know all about this already but you might find some interesting ideas with these pic.i learned a lot of good idea to make the car stronger/lighter from HEL's s2000 time attack car so if i ever want to make a time attack 3/s this what i would do to it.
they even cut the bottom of the trunk to make it lighter.

Yes, just like that :biggrin:. I measured roughly 320lf of welding. so 80lf a day = 4 days of welding, or 4 welders, one day ;).

Speaking of Erron, is he moving the suspension mounting points for better geometry or stock replacement? You can do a LOT with PPIHC 1" rule, and do even more when running a ruleset that doesn't restrict mounting points.

when i was putting tranny on for my twin clutch i had to lower the subframe to lower the engine then an idea came to my mind that if we put spacer between the subframe and frame itself then we can lower the engine for better center of gravity and also put the lower control arm in better/right position since cars with McPherson struts can't be lowered too much and keep the same geometry in place, but that may only works with race cars with dry sump since the ground clearance will be a problem here.

You want to RAISE the subframe as much as possible. Think about it for a while, and if it doesn't click, just take my word for it.

Sounds damn near impossible, this project does. Looking forward to see how it goes, I am very much. Im sure your like me and gain confidence and drive when people are doubting :).

Like my first engine rebuild and conversion to single turbo on my VR4, no one around here thought it would run. I just kept saying, just wait and you will see. And they saw :).
