1991 STEALTH PACE CAR:: for sale??

i'd like to see a thread/link. i saw the PPG car for sale thread on the old site.

that sounds like the PPG car. it has the "intrepid-esque" bumpers on it. many hate the colors on it. i actually liked it. it's a very retro thing. the 80's/90's also had teal berettas & purple vettes as pace cars. PPG's color scheme fits right in.

Many dealers sold the stealth with an Indy pace car sticker pack as well.

the ppg car is pink and yellow the pace cars are just the stock pearl yellow, with an enlarged stock spoiler to accommodated the larger LED 3rd brake light and strobes, etc. They were hack-wired up. A gentleman who was looking at buying a stealth we owned, an acquaintance of his bought the pace car at the auction a few months back.

Do a search on 3si, you'll find it.

now this is something i would pay handsomely for. in fact, i'd be happy just to have the IMS flags/tire logo that i could plaster on my back bumper. $$$ to whomever can grab me 1 or 2 of them.

Yeah that was the one I was referring to. It is an actual pace car not just a track prep one.

i never saw the PPG car for on-track duties. i know it didn't do them at the 500 in 1991, but it was probably used in several other races. you can see how there's an entirely different light-bar setup.

...still waiting on someone to develop the sideskirts.

every time i see the PPG, i have to admire the paint. hell, it almost deserves underbody neons to match the pink. it's a very nostalgic throwback--and i love it.

can we get the owner of the PPG car to join up over here? i'd like to see pics of his sail panels & some other high-def pics of engine bay, hatch, inside roof, etc. and there's no reverse lights on the car.

i wonder if i could replicate that look by pilfering a 98 intrepid bumper & splicing...
