*waits for full-color led/lcd with rotary readouts.
Probably the best thing I`ve seen for our cars yet!.
Can you trigger an output for the knock warning? (I prefer a buzzer to flashing lights).
I want .
Awesome project!
PM me too! How do you scale the wideband/boost readings or do you need a set voltage per AFR/PSI? I'm also wondering if you can make it buzz.
After Ceddy brought my attention of MUToverOBD2 protocol on 95-96 DSM, I went ahead and researched this, purchased an ECU and got this protocol to work. I now can do MUToverOBD2, MUT, and OBD1 all from the same box. In short, every model supported. Our 3S cars 96+ will also work in MUToverOBD2 mode interestingly enough.
That was on my original checklist of things to do, "activate a remote buzzer". I'll have to check the microprocessor and see if there's any unused pins left to implement that wish. The priority of supporting a buzzer fell to low priority because it can already respond to two important things: 1. If there's knock, reduced the boost. 2. For water/alchy users if your fluid level goes low, it can trigger a latch to automatically reduce your boost to a pump gas friendly boost level and stay that way till next power cycle.
I don't think I understand your question in regards to "How do you scale wideband / Boost..." . It accepts any wideband o2 sensor output wire from 0-5 volts, and you just enter the low and high limits of the AFR and you're done.
I made a rough draft PDF format manual for it, anyone who's interested can email at blacklight99 at gmail.com and I'll send you a copy.
your a nut :)
