Got the vanos service kit this week and spent some time today removing. Cleaning and re sealing the unit. Hopefully the issues are fixed ! Here's some required pictureshttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...cfa485c3b4.jpg

Awfully scuzzy

These bolts took me longer to get out than anything due to lack of proper tools but I got inventive !

Tightening my drill chuck down allowed me to break them loose , it's not stupid if it works ! http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...12514b83fc.jpg
Old gasket vs new , probably some leaking going on . Filter was dirty but not plugged for the vanos as well

Seems like there is always something to do on the m3 ... Had a rattling noise coming from the rear . Found a broken hanger on the axle back muffler . Need to take it to welding shop and have it fixed because it's stainless.
Started in on the rear suspension and brake upgrade. And holy shit these wheels have not been off in awhile . So corroded onto the hub or took a pry bar between the rim and brake caliper on each side. And my snap on electric impact wouldn't touch the wheel bolts....
The rear shocks were so toast you could compress them by hand and they would not rebound unless you pulled them apart haha . Out in the new rancho units , upgraded shock mounts cleaned all the brake slides and hardware. Put on the left rear ss brake line , pads and rotors and bled that corner. Won't get to the right side brakes tonight . http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...1745003748.jpg
