What do you plan on running for a MAF?
My gm 85mm maf and translator like I have been

I understand wanting to do stuff different and all... I really do. But why not use a 72/74 block with MIVEC heads? Seems a lot more simple, with the same result.
From what I understand this block is reinforced and gusseted so in theory it would be stronger

runnel "Because this block was purpose built to be a 3.8... 72 with mivec heads won't work... 93mm bore to 95mm combustion chamber.
That and the 6g75 is a 3828cc engine... The 6g74 block with 75 crank is typically a 3.75l not a true 3.8"

It's a 3.75L because you can't bore past 94mm due to getting in the water jackets of the normal 72 heads. With MIVEC heads, you can go to 95mm which nets you the 3.8L (3.825 to be exact)... and you can still go bigger if you like just depends on what you're comfortable with on wall thickness. You have more room yet on a 74 block I believe. Which is why Itallo Grasso or Leonel (whichever one it is) has a 74/75 combo but has MIVEC heads to net his true 3.8L. I have the 74/75 3.75L combo and have a ton of wall thickness left...
I will still watch this with excitement... it's a big project. I am really curious how the ECU side of things will work out. Physically mounting an engine/turbo is the easy part.
