Jurassic Park, Passion.....and The Santa Clause.....damn you really don't like to go to the movies much huh?

Hence marvel cinematic universe takes place place on earth-199999 vs earth-616. We live on earth-1218 for those who didn't know.

For DC, we are earth 33. So I just apply the same principal and enjoy the movies whatever "earth" they take place.

Honestly, the last two movies I went to see - that I wanted to see - were Jurassic Park and The Passion.

I was a dinosaur nut as a kid, and my faith demanded I see The Passion.

Neither was preceded by a book, so there's that, but going back further, every time I went to see a movie inspired by a book, I was severly disappointed; the only movie I ever saw that compared (even remotely) to the book was The Hunt For Red October.

My disenchantment with movies is pretty comprehensive.



I did take a female and her son to see "The Santa Clause" back in the day cuz in an effort to get laid, but. :p

Yes, Paul - such is my disenchantment with movies.

Gladiator and Saving Private Ryan are about the only shows I found to be worth seeing, and I managed to wait until I could watch them at home.

The rest has largely been dreck.

All that said, I have about about 300 DVDs, can't keep Missus J from buying them - cartoons for the grandkids, etc.

I DO own a bunch of concert DVDs, but that's the extent of it. :)
