1) Lori will have to look into this.
2) Currently the 2 mile west layout. IF we get enough Road Course entries we can look into changing.
3a) If you make the switch after the beginners have gone out you will get less beginner sessions. We will be doing a full day so everyone will get all the track time they need.
3b) TBD but upgrade price will probably be based on RC price at the time you registered.
3c) why does it matter your not a beginner ;)
He also has a wife.
True but I thought Stacy had run the Road Course before.
It does seem like a lot of griping. Greg, while I do appreciate your feedback, giving it to us the day after registration opens is probably going to be futile. Here's what you need to understand... This event does not make money. We do everything on an extremely tight budget. If we make enough to help with our hotel costs, it's a minor miracle. We don't do it as a business, we do it for the community. Everyone keeps wanting to treat it as a business, and if that's going to be the case then I can't do it anymore. I already have one very full-time, retail store that I own. I honestly don't even have the time to do what I do, so adding to it is only going to stress me out, make me feel like a complete failure, and cause me to step down. I'm not trying to be dramatic - I'm being honest. I have things going on in my personal life that make this event virtually impossible for me right now, yet I'm making it happen. Please just appreciate that.
Levi, seriously?! Give me some time to respond before complaining about needing a response. I do work some really long days, ya know. We've announced previously that we'll be using the west side of the track, and we'll upgrade to the full track only if finances allow it (again, instead of making money on the event, we'll sink it right back into the event). If you upgrade after a touring session and after one beginner session, how are you losing out? You got to try the track out, see if you enjoyed it, before making the financial commitment. You also had a full session in the touring group INSTEAD of the beginner group. I look at it this way... If each run group runs 6 times (I'm sure it'll be more, but let's just use that number)... You go once as a touring group, then 5 times as a beginner, it's a wash. If you went in the touring group, then upgraded and went out every time as a beginner, you got an extra session with no extra financial commitment.
The rest of what Alan said is correct.
My question... Why is everyone already making this so difficult? This is when everyone gets excited, registers, realizes all the old friends they get to see again, and gets super PUMPED about this unbelievably AMAZING track I've lined up for you. WTF?! And Paul... thank you. :)
