Also Ray, the additional advantage to this table is knowing the rotating weight within a very small margin of error. It affords crankshaft engineering guys like i3igpete the opportunity to evaluate the rotating package and simulate the rotating harmonics. Form there they can establish the constraints to customize harmonic dampeners for those who choose to pursue. There's a few guys on the board with a lot of horsepower and money tied up and bolts are coming loose. It's possible it's linked to this phenomena.
familyman, do you have any details for your build... like a build sheet?
Anyone have any information on 1st gen rods/pistons vs. 2nd gen rods/pistons? Erron had made mention the two are different but I have never seen the two side by side...
Not the info that you probably want. Just the basics, ring gap, rod, and main clearance. I do have the piston weight. Rods are still out so I could weigh them but I don't have anything sensitive enough. Would just have to use the manufacturers numbers. Have tool steel pins but can't remember the weight on those. Package is long gone.

91-93 pistons have a slightly larger top ringland. Making the 93 engine the strongest of all the stock engines, lol. I can't find my pics but I know side-by-side pics are on 3si somewhere unless they were lost in the transition to ekool ownershipQuote:
