That is bad ass! Tri-turbo FTW!
Holy crap dude! If you get bored after this is done, I'll pick you up at the PDX airport! I have something to keep ya busy.
Nice work!
Glad you created this thread Box. I had forgotten how much you had actually done to your car. What was required wiring wise to do the TT swap? did you just swap engine loom and leave the rest NA stock?
very nice work! congratulations!
Oh hell! Wasnt expecting to get such a big response :lo5l: Anyway cheers guys.
Took it out for the very first road test last sunday evening just to clear out the cobwebs and make sure it works. Just got a couple of niggly little problems to sort out, got some work to do on the oil drain lines and it's ready to go. Hope to be boosting by the end of the holidays, all going well should be on the dyno at the start of February.

Here's a diagram I prepared earlier (no need to applaud my MS Paint skills)

Pretty much it goes manifold - small turbos - big turbo - downpipe. The T04 is twin scroll, rear bank goes into one side, the front bank goes into the other side.
For the cold side, it goes filter on the big turbo - split to small turbos - merge into intercooler - throttle body
No idea on boost yet. All the turbos are gated (two blue wastegates for the 9bs, single red for the big one) and will be connected to the same boost controller so hopefully I'll just set to a certain PSI and everything else will be done automagically.
Cheers mate. Engine loom, ECU and MFI relay were swapped over, radiator fans had to be rewired (because I used a 1st gen donor car on a 2nd gen body). Otherwise its all pretty much plug and play
Again VERY impressive :)
Looking forward to butt dyno and real dyno numbers....
You OBVIOUSLY have a good head on your shoulders for AUTOMOBILES :)
Any thoughts on coming to the NG next year (would love to meet you!)
Bob.
LOL. Box is in NZ......
Your insane man. Love the thread.
Are you running a MAFT with stock ecu for a tuning strategy on the compound turbo setup? What are seeing on your logger for kpa at the current wastegate? Is your charge air density compounding by addition, or is it multiplying? Seems strange that you would only require 560cc injectors? For some reason in my mind I was thinking at wastegate on compounds you'd be somwhere in the 300kpa range? Can you share your findings with the compound turbo setup? Thanks!
