Yes, I do have SCE bolts, could very well be. I am not against springs I just dont have 2.... lol
Does anyone have a pic of them on a 1G? I've only done one brake job and I'm curious what you guys are talking about.

That anti-rattle spring is critical for your sanity. Roll your windows down and roll the car back and forth and you'll some ridiculous clunking. With the cross shaped spring in place there's no clunk. The pads will also migrate if your pistons aren't stuck so you'll get the clunk during nearly every stop without the cross shaped spring. I lost a couple of those springs (brand new, they just didn't want to stay on) so I had to bend them a bit further on the hooked end to keep them on.
