Drove Palomar mountain yesterday and got pulled over for no front plate. The cop made me pop my hood, but at least he was cool about my explanation that my engine was all show and was still basically stock.

Swap your wheels around dude, seriously, it takes 20 minutes. (Blackmount)
Commufornia.
Installed new ground wires and wired in the Maft gen2. I hooked up the maf to the throttle body without any IC pipes just to see how it would idle. I got it to around 15afr before it got dark. And my tach and speedometer arent working. I had the needle off for some gauge stuff but now they dont move at all when the car is running. I might have gotten coolant on the sensor again.
installed AEM O2 Sensor and Gauge after it sat on my shelf for 2 months not wanting to crawl under the car in sand :(
now I only need CAS(on order) and to plug in the AEM EMS v2 and find a tuner(none exist were I'm stationed :()
Wasn't today but yesterday.
Modified this.

Bought it an AWD turbocharged buddy...
Attachment 3364
Started my prototype rear spare tire cover ...
Sold my 92 Stealth RT/TT and 95 VR-4 last week. Bought a yellow top Optima battery for the 92 VR-4. Installed a Pioneer head unit in the mighty Corolla.
Nice sig, Coop!
Found out if you cut the cx racing fmic after the throttle body bend and flip the other part over, you can recirc the bov into the stock bubble. And still go blow though. For those people who want blow through without a super loud bov (me). Of course Im going to run it open first just to see what the forge sounds like non recirc lol.
Pulled my new borg warner turbo apart today and inspected thoroughly. Also fabbed up a 15 psi wastegate for the turbo. The one that came with it is supposevly rated at 8 psi and has no nipple for a boost controller
Not today, but when I bought mine it had AWFUL aaftermarket tinting, so I scraped it off and it only took hours to do.
- Removed and painted the windshield wiper arms and the lower windshield trim.
- Inflated the flat front tire.
- Installed my "new" snake eyes. Old ones were cracked and the corners broken off. Bought a beautiful pair at LKQ for $4.
- Painted the last piece of my headlights shrouds and installed it ($3 at LKQ) so now I have a full front end.
- Ordered a set of line wrenches from harbor freight for $15 shipped to replace my fuel line (found one at LKQ... I love that place, think I might move in. Paid $5 for the hose!)
- Had my girlfriend install my "Made In Japan" decal in the top left-hand corner of my rear windshield. For a small change, it makes a big difference when you glance at the car.
- Installed my panama green driver's side door cap ($15 at LKQ).
- Cleaned out the junk from the trunk, installed the panels and made sure everything was connected... I have a few loose connections but we'll figure out what those go to one day.
- Removed the passenger side front seat in favor of a like-new grey cloth seat from LKQ ($33). It's way more comfortable. I want one for the driver's side.
- Installed the fuel relay thingy that goes on the side of the center console. The car would start if there was fuel in the line.
Tomorrow, I'll be putting the center console in and connecting everything, as well as trying to force a little fuel in the line to get her to crank up. Then it's just waiting for the rest of my parts to come in to finish her up. I have no idea why I wanted to part this thing out and crush the shell. I f*ckin' love working on this car. Maybe I'll write a build thread.
moved my stealth and the majority of her parts (aside from the block, heads, turbos, and transmission) to my uncle's house for safe keeping.

Bought my pearl white 92 Stealth TT back after selling it 10 days ago. The new owner called and said he put on just over 500 miles and the transmission stopped shifting into 3rd, 4th, 5th or reverse! I never had a problem with the trans except for a little notchy in 3rd when it was cold. He was a nice guy so I agreed to buy it back for what he paid for it. He just spent $450.00 on a catback exhaust for it and would throw that in with the buy back. I didn't want to screw anyone so I told him to bring it back to my house. He was able to get it in 4th gear also, so he drove down and parked it in my garage.
We checked the short shifter and peeked at the cable connections to the trans. Everything looked normal. It was late so I closed the garage and went on the internet to look for parts or another transmission, fearing the worst.
Tonight after work I removed the Y pipe, battery and intake bubble and found the problem. The cable bracket that attaches to the trans was loose with one bolt laying on the trans and the other one missing. Some dumbass (me) forgot to tighten the bolts or they vibrated loose. I'm thinking the latter, lol.
I took it for a drive and it shifts fine. Whew! So I guess I'll fix some minor items on the car, raise the boost to 10 psi and drive it awhile. Maybe put it up for sale in the spring.
Karma works!
well this happened two weeks ago... but i replaced the passenger ball joint, control arm, and axle... put in some new synthetic tranny fluid, she runs pretty good.
Fouled the plugs during my late night tuning session. Need to turn down the base psi. :dontknow2:
Continued cleaning and prep on the vr4 subframe, mounts and suspension parts. Purchased a new welder for the install. Going to powdercoat this week for all the suspension and mounts. Driveshaft is just sanded and resprayed semigloss.
Powdercoated and installed the VLS system. Just need new shocks for the lifts.

Yes, AWD 6-speed conversion. New 3.5L with 16g td05 and all supporting mods. Lots of work. It's taking a lot longer because I'm recoating and refurbishing everything I can. New undercoat and all new bushings for everything.
My summer project turned into my winter build.
Drove it to an sts class in jersey while tuning my maft gen 2. It runs much smoother now.
Drove 6 hours with a friend to buy a 16G VR4... It's FAST!
Decided to do awe conversion.... so single Turbo awd sl
LMAO. I hope you realize that that AWD rear end and driveshaft arent even half of what you need. And paying $300 just for that, you are getting ripped off.
:smartie:
i paid $900 shipped for a COMPLETE rear-end, and i think i got a great deal on it. calipers, rotors, struts, differential, axles, ALL there. INCLUDING the mounts cut from the frame.
if you're paying only $300 for "everything you need", either the dude is brain-dead, or you're getting hosed.
for the love of god, sell the car & buy a vr4. you are about to open a can of PAIN that you haven't even begun to grasp. trust me. just get a vr4. it's not worth it. vr4's (1g's especially) are piss cheap these days.
Mounts that I have to weld on, drive shaft, subframe, diff, control arms, shocks, axles, hubs, rotors and calipers.. as far as I understand all I'm missing is transmission and tcase which eill come eith my new motor and I think I remember a mount having to be changed in engine bay 300$ that's pretty reasonable to me for that stuff
you're not listening. even IF you can find all that stuff for $300, it's probably in shit condition. then you've got the cost of the transmission/t-case. then you've got the cost of turbocharging. and the cost of your "i want a 99 vr4" shit. sell the car NOW. buy a fucking vr4. you haven't even had the car that long. you're not attached to it. not like me an paul. i had my car 7 years before AWD converting it. paul had his for nearly as long.
sell your car. buy a 2g vr4; even a piss cheap one. you'll be way better off. you'll also discover they're moneypits & expensive to maintain--way WAY more than your broke-ass "i can't even afford current tags" tuckas can pay for. and if you think THAT'S bad; it's STILL nothing compared to the asspain of a conversion.
Cost of motor and transfer with tcase n Ecu will be 1000. Still cheaper then buying a vr4. U can't find a healthy vr4 for under 3500-4000 where I live. The labor part I'm not worried about. With the right tools it wont be that bad at all. I have access to full shop and lifts
I appreciate u looking out for me but letme waste my money and worry about what's a lot of work or not
LMAO, good luck with engine, trans, t-case, and ECU for $1000. A good 5 speed trans cant be had for less than $1000.
okay I will :)
The key word in my post was GOOD.
$5 says this never gets completed.
LOL u guys.
Anyways. Swapped out shitty cone filter for a k&n. Ravaged a stealth souvenirs at the junkyard didn't have any parts worth getting other then seats. Might come back for em. Every panel on the body had a massive dent in it. Really was wanting a new fender and passenger pop up light assembly but it was tweaked slightly
