i may have skipped over it but why not sheetmetal the floor so you can achieve as flat as possible? just add a drive shaft tunnel that can be covered underneath. im sure erron has already thought of that though or knows why you cant

I need to fit everything so I can finish all the fab work for mounting brackets and supports. I didn't want to tear up the paint. I'm test fitting everything first.

The bottom of the 3/S chassi is pretty flat. Additionally, the floor is weaved into the box frame rails in the main cab. You don't want to alter the floor between the box rails and passenger cab because of that.

i think SCCA/NASA doesn't allow re-floorpanning.

from the NASA TTU rulebook (I assume TT in SCCA is similar):

Does that include the whole unibody or just the floorpan? Including where he cut the spare out of?

Gotcha, that makes sense Jer. I was going to say, that's gonna suck to paint around. Test fitting is always good.

Ya, don't mod the floor pans, just cover them with flat sheet metal. :)
