What you don't see in that video was the real reason why they were arrested. They are a park of "Code Pink" and were there causing a disturbance.. then when the police were called over to kick them out of the memorial, they started filming and pretending they were "just dancing".

This is some crap. Apparently a judge recently ruled that "expressive dancing" is not allowed at certain public memorials. As a Social and Criminal Justice Major (graduating in August), I feel as if the First Amendment is being violated so bad in this case. They are not causing harm to anyone, and thus have the freedom of speech to do what they want. In my opinion, our forefathers, like Jefferson, wanted us to be able to express ourselves freely. Hell, you can burn an American Flag in plug in pure hatred of America, but you can't Dance in Jefferson's memorial? What has this country come to?

Cop walks up and says from the beginning, "if you come out here and demonstrate by dancing I will place you under arrest". It seems whatever story that happened before showed that they had no other intent, at least not known by the police officer. The cop only expected dancing from them and arrested them for dancing.

I absolutely hate code pink. However, the cops even said that was there reason for arresting them. Do you have a source for your side?

This was a memorial they were dancing on, I don't see it any different than dancing on Jefferson's grave. It's disrespectful. If they went out to the reflecting pool and danced there, they probably would not have been arrested. Of course, since their agenda was to get arrested, they had to dance on someones memorial.
