There are many that say "no problems, been running it for months" but then others claim they are adamant there is some sort of risk involved. I don't know HOW they make this claim as most of them are choosing to run a VR4 ECU anyway. So if they aren't running an SL ECU, and nobody has ever claimed a catastropic failure, I would say it is all up to the owner.
For me, I will be trying this on SL ecu. I'm quite frankly not scared to blow anything based on NO evidence that flashing an SL ecu will. It is all complete speculation and a degree of how anal you are.
Bottom line is:
No input for boost monitor
No input for wastegate control
Knock sensor circuit is possibly wired in a different configuration but output parameters are the same.
I guess we really won't know any adverse effects unless someone claims a flashed SL ECU blew their motor. So somebody has to try it.
