Word. Mine had a really good winter of running its ass off whenever I felt like driving it. I know 9Bs aren't fun in the same ways as bigger turbos, but with all the supporting mods my car has, they spool even faster and it's all kinds of fun with that type of response.

Once the AC fan broke and took my radiator with it, though, the "why not install that while it's apart" started.... so the car is getting everything thrown at it, finally. I'd be mad about the radiator if I wasn't so busy modding. :D

So I totally get not ripping into yours while it's running great. What's the motivation? Enjoy it from the driver seat!

While I'm thinking about it.... you mentioned battery tender. I have this one & highly recommend it.

Ironically, I've spent a great deal of time talking the '97 owner off the DR750 build ledge. Start with 9B's and add supporting mods... enjoy the process... don't do it in one huge dump.

I could not agree with that build logic any more. Been running 9b's and supporting mods for 15g's for the last 4 years, ALMOST ready for the plunge! Haha

I agree with that, as well. Especially if you are busy and/or new to these cars. A lot easier to trouble shoot when you have done 1-2 things at a time. Also when you are on stock injectors you can just run stock ECU to help trouble shoot/break in a new engine/etc. Another nice thing is you can drive the car between mods instead of having it down for a long time at once. Plus it will be sweet to throw on a new set of turbos and crank them up all at once. No running wastegate boost for years on big turbos!

So these days, I'm more interested in making the car more pristine than I am breaking it. It earned 'best interior' at the last TX Gathering I attended, but the A-pillar had a couple small slits in it from when I had a dual gauge pod and the e-brake button was worn... New pillar and 3sx black anodized e-brake button installed. I love easy installs, haha:

The new oem transmission still feels notchier than I would like, so I need to fix that before I can race the car. I suspect the clutch is dragging but I haven't done any testing to confirm. The master and slave are both young, but the interior looks a little wet at the firewall, so I've got a master cylinder rebuild kit.

I think next up is to install the Lat42 single shot exhaust cover. Is there any good reason to wait to install this until after I get the rear bumper repainted (in maybe 2016?)

E85? When did this happen?

E85 will be strictly for emissions purposes unless I opt to install the fuel lines and filter I have on the shelf. If I do that, at some point point before I peg the turbos, I assume I will max out my dual (in-tank/parallel) walbro and PTE780's. I'm not ruling anything out, but I'm hesitant to push anything on ethanol.
