My vr4 is on the lift right now. Both oil return lines are leaking where they meet the oil pan again. Last time I used black RTV and new mitsu gaskets. I may try some threebond this time. And my rear pinion seal is leaking:/
But on a positive note my ls2 rx7 started up fine.

Broke the wife's ATX TT in March so bought her a new toy yesterday till I find time to replace HG's on it. Driving home the brake judder was borderline lethal !!! Calipers all seized up and discs truly buggered .... Thankfully I had some spare discs, pads and calipers in the garage

Was able to get out in the garage for a bit last night. Removed the brakes from the 2g and then put on possibly the sexiest wheels ever fitted to a 3s. No brakes = enough clearance for 14" wheels. Lower control arms almost hit them haha! Brakes are in good condition, just need to replace pads (even though they look new), clean up rotors, and then paint the calipers. When i went to remove them i found that the rear passenger caliper was only held on by one single loose bolt!!
Only have a couple of more things left to do and then the 2g can be rolled out and placed in 3s heaven. Will be nice to only have on car in the garage.

replaced rear pinion seal and oil return seals. Got it off the lift. Started doing some stuff to my truck.

Working on getting the active exhaust valve fixed.
I will be replacing the valve itself by fabricating a blade and shaft(out of stainless steel) and fitting them to the current cable plate on top

The job wasn't too bad being the first time I've ever done it. The quick disconnect fittings on the radiator gave me trouble as I didn't have the right tool. I managed to get them off bending some thin copper around the pipe and using a screwdriver. Also the ac compressor rear bolt gave me some trouble until I elongated one of the crossmember holes. If you remove the compressor and zip tie it to the cab you can keep the ac stuff all in place and not have to recharge it. My cab is going back on tonight. There was nothing wrong with the truck, I just plan on hooking up an sct tuner to it and I knew I would blow the head gaskets if I did) This is what I did:Quote:

Wow! Alot of nice parts there!
Removed engine mount, exhaust, intercoolers, oil cooler, some electronic pieces, random hardline (clutch assist or something?), some brackets, and the front subframe. Then gave it a very very brief wipedown.

rear subframe, steering rack, and sway bar are gone as well.
I didn't do anything directly to the car... but I bought some new hairdryers for it. FP 68HTA's... like suped up 16G's.
Hoping for 19Tish spool but with the ability to make 800+ horsepower. DSM's have made ~500hp out of one! We shall see!
Anything over a 15G is worthless.....
