Look into the definition of Mob, and where is it I said all religion is warmongering? There are far more wars fought in the name of religion than anything else. This was the point of my statement for you to read up on history. I would only have you believe the facts.
You by your own definition have faith, not religion. Religion historically pushes views on its masses, faith on the other hand is come upon by oneself.
Not stating you are misplaced in your view in which religion should be, but am pointing out what you view as should be in in fact not.
I think you're arguing semantics, Bill. I myself would maintain that the concept is indeed being religious, not having faith. I base this upon the idea that in order for man to have morality, something must be sacred; and in order for something to be sacred, one must be religious.
Having faith, on the other hand, is a prevailing belief in someTHING. Such a belief does not imply one is also religious. I, for example, have faith that about half of 3sgto would like to kick my ass (which may or may not be true). In either event, there is no implication of something being rendered sacred.
