Hurry up, I want to see this mounted up.

Personal favorite is and always has been the played out Saleens. Ford hit it's and the world's wheel design peak when they made those, at least in my eyes. :D

Looking into getting some P45R's, they're becoming my new fav. thanks to Yama.

MMmmm, P45R's!
I just can't get excited about Saleens. :( Probably because I see too many Mustangs on the road period.
do 16's count? lol

Which do you guys think would be better for the track/street a 17" drag radial or 18"? I know it's kind of a dumb question but I'm debating whether it's worth it enough to drop down to a 17x9 wheel with some M&H drag radials or MT ET Street II tires. My 18" 265ish tire selection is kind of slim. I have some 245/45/17 NT555R drag radials with one that has a hole in the sidewall. I've heard they're not the best at hooking up. I could pick up a replacement tire for cheap but 245 isn't very wide at least I don't care for the 245 summer tires on my car now.
Hoosier has a 17" slick. More sidewall the better for going in a straight line.
Jason
If you are getting drag radials you wont need a lot of width. Broomfield was cutting 1.4x 60's at NG with 7" slicks. Get the lightest 17x8's you can and put the M&H's on them. That would be my choice if I was going for a drag package.
Wouldn't a 28" slick be too tall?
The Enkei RPF1s I have are definitely light. Being an 8.5" wide rim I was wanting to run a wider tire but if they become dedicated track wheels with slicks I guess it wouldn't matter. I need to check them again to see if they'll clear my BBK since I thought they barely rubbed against the wheel weights plus the barrel of the wheel angles in.
I change my mind way too much. :p
No, Hoosier has a 275/40r17 now.
I foresee broken metal on both of our cars now
Yup...there will be broken shit:

:awesome:

There is also the 26x7r17 Mickey Thompson slicks that are the same width that Dave was running at NG cutting 1.4's.
You could run a narrower/lighter wheel then.

I like the colors of the grids and the style grows on me a little. I guess the only way I liked the TE37s some was with a heavy concave shape to it. Otherwise they look kind of boring. I'd run a skinny slick and wheel but I don't know what would clear my Stoptechs which would be one hold up.
Which stoptech kit? 332's will fit under a 17" wheel.
Jason
The Grids and P45R are supposed to be better at fitting under BBKs since they have more offset clearence farther away from the hub.
If and when I buy rims it will be the P45's in Hyper Black!
Loved the look on both Ryan's and Yama's cars.
I wouldn't mind a hyperblack set of p45r's either.
332s yes. When I was checking the Enkei's with the template it was so close to the wheel weights stuck on the inside of the barrel that it could possibly rub. I'm sure it was fine. The barrel design didn't help either. The 17" FN01RCs had more clearance but I sold those wheels. I think I may go with a set of 18s for the 265 Hankook tires I have here and then maybe next year a set of 17s with some slicks for the track. I need to do a full restoration underneath plus a full 5-speed swap before I hit the track. My 3rd gear grinding 6-speed right now is unbraced plus I much prefer the 5-speed. I already got a Quaife front diff now if only I can splurge for the SCE center diff too. :)
I change my mind too much it's terrible. I was looking at some Rota Torques 18x9.5 +35 offset. I want an aggressive concave spoke design. What I'm really diggin' right now is the Wedssport SA-55M. Until I saw the gloss black/blue combo on a few cars I liked it but the blue is too much/ricey looking. I can't decide if I like the matte black or gunmetal color better on a white stealth. They're pricey wheels too ~$2k so they'd have to be my full-time wheels if I was going to justify that much. I want to keep the GT-Cs though plus have a 17" wheel with slicks. Decisions... and money. :p

Maybe I'll wait until someone on EvoM posts up a set for sale.
That evo is tuff. And the torque, grids, and p45rs are affordable But every other set of wheels posted aren't lol. Advans and te37s are like 1k a wheel .

Five Axis S5F in bronze.
I'm thinking I should keep the 17" wheels for future use. $1k in slicks I'll have to think about if I don't see more than a few track visits a year. That seems kind of silly.
I'm still definitely getting a set of 18s.
Anyone else? I sold a few parts so I'm contemplating getting some wheels but it isn't at the top of my list right now given I have pretty decent tread on my 19" tires still. I may do Ray's head lift fix and get the DR-950 rebuilt.
I had found another 95 RT/TT pearl white just like mine locally that needed a VCU, clutch, and rocker panel 80k miles for $2500 but it looks like someone else snatched that up, DR-750s, 3SX Stage III heads, Brian Crower stroker, and a few other mods for $5k and some change not exactly sure so I'll probably end up getting a set of wheels sooner than later.
Hyperblack P45r all day long...

...only pic i can find since webshots jacked up my sig :p
I love P45R's but alot of people are getting them. Yamah and Shmoo (I think that's his name) were the first I saw who had them. I'm not trying to jack their style but MAYNE those rims are sexy. I can find some of these...

i wish i knew what colin (baadvr4's son) has on his 3k.

yeah, the fake 2-piece doesn't do it for me. it just doesn't quite look as good as a genuine 2-piece.
