The first item below the initial three boxes says "Autocross Class Selection" and has a button next to it labeled "Details". Clicking that button shows you the full classing system used for the event.
Below the class selection details button there are four boxes; Suspension, Engine, Tires, and Weight Reduction. Your selections in these boxes determine your class.
Under Suspension your choices are Stock Springs, Lowering Springs, and Coilovers. Please note that sleeve and spring coilovers like what Ground Control sells are considered Coilovers and not just Lowering Springs.
Under Engine you have Naturally Aspirated, Stock Turbos(9B's), or Upgraded Turbos. Fairly self-explanatory.
Under Tires you have the choice of Street Tires or Race Tires. If your tires have a tread wear rating below 200 they are considered race tires. Special restrictions may be placed on the recently "reformulated" auto-x tires that magically changed from a 180 rating to a 200 rating to match the recent SCCA rule changes.
Under Weight Reduction you have two choices, Full Weight or Gutted. If you have stripped your interior, aside from just the rear hatch area stuff like the floor cover and plastic trays, you are considered gutted.
As part of the tech process we will verify class accuracy.
If you have additional questions let me know. :bigthumb:
Edit: If you bring anything other than a 3/S you are classified as "Other" which is just one big group with essentially no restrictions or limitations. So yes a Smart Car would have to battle out against a Z06.
