bale's batman is one-dimensional. he makes a pretty good bruce wayne, but his batman is cardboard. his acting also ruined terminator salvation for similar reasons.

Oblivion...6/10
Besides the fact that tim cruise sucks, the movie was alright, except for the fact that tom cruise sucks. If tom cruise didnt suck so much, woulda rated quite a bit higher, but he just sucks overall...
...did i mention my dislike of tom cruise?!?
Pacific rim...7.5/10
A neat premise indeed, but kind of tired of the "gotta save the world" theme. That and the action scenes get so fast that the CGI all kind of blurs together after a point...also could have used a random hottie, and no Rinko didnt count :p
Rush, 9/10! Best racing movie ive seen.
Will b d/l pacific rim in 3d tonight, Thx!
Sent from the CaveMan Cave!
Debbie Does Dallas...o crap, wrong thread.
Pacific Rim 8/10
Pretty cool movie actually.
And!! There was a 3000gt in it haha
When Charlie from its always sunny talks to some guys entering one of the dead monsters brain you can see the rear of a 3s in the background as he talks on the phone. Then you get to see the whole car from the side and one of the monsters flips the car over lol
^^^ forgot to mention that, looked like a darker colored one facing to the left of the screen :D
Just saw Haywire. sucked.
can't possibly be as bad as lord of the rings:

In the past week I have watched...
Carnage -- 7/10. Short enough to squeeze in whenever, it is entertaining enough especially if all you'd like to do is wind down from a hectic day. Grab a few beers and enjoy the ride.
Killer Joe -- 6/10. Weird movie; McConaughey is awesomely demented. All at once you want to watch and you don't want to watch; you want to laugh and you don't want to laugh. And in the end...
What Maisie Knew -- 7.5/10. Kids = Responsibilities. Makes sense to most adults worth anything.
The Diving Bell and the Butterfly -- 7.5/10. French film. Not the type of movie I was expecting, had no idea it was based on a true story, but glad I watched it.
The Insider -- 8.5/10. Nearly 3 hours long and most of it I was glued to the screen. May not be a movie for everyone but it was very enjoyable, IMO. A tobacco industry whistle-blower's story -- based on true events but, obviously, dramatized for Hollywood.
Bullhead -- NA. Belgian film. Story built around the use of added hormones in the cattle trade and how the main character fits in the picture. Well made movie, don't get me wrong, but I cannot recommend anyone see it. And please don't think that I'm trying to do reverse psychology or something. If you do, you'll probably wish you hadn't.
Iron Man 3 -- 6.5/10. Better than the second which was nice, but Tony Stark is becoming a little too much like Captain Jack Sparrow for me and I'm becoming more and more bored of it. We'll see Tony Stark again in "The Avengers: Age of Ultron". Yay.
The only movie of that list I have even heard of is, obviously, Iron Man 3.
Killer Joe was a let's say different movie for McConaughey. Was decent, worth a look without expectation.
"Perhaps you should get out more." --Edmond Dantes (played by Jim Caviezel) in The Count of Monte Cristo, 2002.
This was a good thread: http://www.3sgto.org/work-safe-discu...endations.html.
wouldn't watching more movies mean staying in more?
Iron Man 3
I have to say, this was the worst one so far. Pretty dumb actually. Glad I didn't waste money on it.
Start Trek: Into Darkness
I'd give it 4 stars just because it was fun to watch. My fav parts were the ultra battle mega murdered out starship and how they brought back some scenes from the original Wrath of Khan.
World War Z was cool but I thought it was really stupid how the slightest sound from someone could attract a zombie but a zombie could bang it's head on a wall over and over and the other zombies didn't seem to care. That and the fact that those zombies jumped over that wall and were still able to run around after having all their bones snapped from the fall. I don't care what kind of zombie you are, you still need bones to move. I just said zombie way too many times.
zombie
Iron Man III.
Interesting start, then standard actioner.
I find myself wondering if the imperative is to make a cartoon more life-like, or is it the other way around?
6.5/10
It would.
But all he said was that he's never heard of any of those movies, outside of Iron Man 3. Talk to the right people and you'll find all sorts of interesting movies worth your while. And as for myself, I'm a bit selective.
To stay on track here...
The Amazing Spiderman -- 6/10. Not that the Tobey Maguire films were any better, but we've seen it. All of it. Except Lizardman, and nothing was too impressive there, IMO.
Nightwatch/Daywatch: 7/10 Must be watched together as the second one makes absolutely no sense by itself. Weird, but was followable.
Lockout: 5/10 Watched it just for the smartass one-liners. 5 is being generous, it's pretty lame
End of Watch: 8.5/10 Well worth the watch, just was a little slow and the changing groups kinda broke up the flow.
i'm so pissed that duskwatch has not yet been ported to the USA. makes it impossible to get the gist of the trilogy. fuck hollywood.
amazing spiderman was worth the watch...if only because of emma stone.
Gravity
You have to go see this at the theater in 3D.
It makes you feel like you are there actually watching as it's happening.
I expect Sandra Bullock will get nominated for awards on this one.
For recent movies.
This is the End: lots of cameos, and thought it was a pretty good movie. 7.5/10.
The East (I think that's the title): 7/10. About an Eco Terror group that gets spied on by private corporate insurance company.
Can't think of any other notable ones right now.

world war z - worth a watch. book is better , pitt did a good job
star trek into darkness - made a trekkie out of a star wars fanboy , loved it , knew where the ending was going though once you saw a tribble beign experimented on .
oblivion - good break from normal sci fi , the whole aliens thing really had me going untill the 3/4 mark nice twists
saw both Olympus has fallen and white house down, enjoyed them equally, but give the nod to white house down. Olympus-7/10 WHD-8/10.
Just saw Prisoners last Saturday and loved Hugh Jackman's performance, the ending sucked for me, but I don't like endings that don't have full closure. 8/10
Taking Chris to see Machete Kills this weekend. The first one was so cheesily good that we can't wait to see this one.
yeah, might watch that this weekend. you know it's like "the expendables" going into it...so it's all good.
Saw Gravity yesterday. Excellent movie. While their are many technical facts the movie may have gotten wrong from a purely scientific standpoint, I do not care. It was a well made movie and the characters were believable in the context of the story.
