I have a bullshit account that I use to follow WVU sports, and that's it. I really don't understand why people want everyone to know everything they're doing. Or, conversely, why anyone is interested in knowing everything that everyone else is doing. This is from a personal level. Business is different.

I have an account that I use for daily stuff and lots of car stuff. I pretty much follow the rule of not posting anything on there that may be embarrassing. (now or later) For the most part I use it to connect with car folks in other countries and post family stuff for my family members. I only un-friend people that post too much stuff about CRAP, mostly politics and constant complaining. I don't share any of those views in a public forum whether I agree or not. That stuff is more fun to discuss over cocktails. Anyone that wants too is more than welcome to add me. I seem to really post more on track days and what not.
Whats funny is there is a guy on another forum who posted a "privacy notice" thread basically trying to say nothing he posts can be used against him, etc acting like it is actually valid.
If I had a business I would likely create an account to post deals, converse with customers, etc.

that's ok guys. you can continue to call me un-hip, a social-misfit, intentionally-contrary or whatever else...but it won't change how i feel about FB. if this is what a US company can do...just imagine what our enemies can do.
I made a thread a while back that was rather telling of who had Facebook here. :D
I remember that!
This thread has taught me quite a bit about fellow members' current opinions on Facebook. While some are very outspoken about it (I think we know who :p), the members that don't speak up are just as key too. Thank you to all of you that contributed input and/or a vote.
shaun, you can always count on my opinion. i may be polarizing, but at least you know where i stand...and can like/dislike me accordingly. ambiguity & people who portend to things other than they are...are what i hate. that may also be why i dislike FB.
