Sure dont look like a dohc 6g72dett to me so who cares. Just like adam said, its just some dickheads opinion.
the renault in the delorean is definitely on the list for good reason. it's hard to imagine why the 6g72 is even remotely considered in the same category as it. i would have thought that a rotary or two would have made the list.
Well in the form they mentioned it was essentially a 10 year old engine. I think for 1990 it was fairly impressive.
that 13b was pretty successful im sure but im pretty sure your talking about another style of rotary.. they had alot of aftermarket support way back when our platform had nothing. like back in the 90's in japan when those rx7's, supras, and gtrs where getting all the love.
That and a 4-rotor won Le Mans in 1991:

Kinda hard to call it a failure.

mostly talking about fb generation engines. ;)
Impressive graphical map display on that mazda vid for 1991!
Yes and no. Obviously it is very basic by today's standards, but that was 20 years ago. Didn't remember seeing real-time displays like that (but I was only 11 in '91:)). For some reason, instead of watching the vid, I was watching that damn, fuzzy-map and blinking red light!
