I didnt know ur supposed to slip the clutch and not dump it when using 2 step?
What is your setup?

There is never a right time to dump the clutch, it will just end up like this.

Thats a T-case out of A customers evo. Dumped the clutch off 2-step with slicks on and it exlpoded. Took out the bellhousing, cracked the front diff, ans also dented the oil pan which could have taken out the motor if it hit harder.
You want to slip the clutch just enough to load the drivetrain, but not spin it to much that your just sitting there spinning the clutch and not the tires. If you still have an E-brake you can learn to use that to load it as well and really launch hard.

I will preload the drivetrain then dump it. Maybe Ill start to slip it a bit now
I never dumped my clutch because I am too scared to mess my car up. But then I dont see the point to go to a track and pay them money for me to run the hell out of my car either lol.
Exactly on a RWD or FWD car you dump the clutch and it just breaks the tires loose. On an AWD car you have a LOT more grip and shocking the drivetrain will cause broken parts. Burning a clutch from slipping it too much is a lot cheaper to replace than getting a new TC and/or transmission.Quote:
