Anyone want to share a room?
Anyone want to share a room?
Hey everyone,
Not too much new to report. Looks like we have 25 rooms booked at Baker's so far. There are very few of the cheaper rooms left.
I haven't had much luck setting up a 3/S car show. The place I want to do it at has been unresponsive so far. I'll keep at it, but its not looking too good. If it doesn't work out, we'll have a schedule very similar to last years, but we'll find a different Friday night dinner location and do a different boat cruise. Stay tuned....

Curt
Got my vacation approved finally! Can't wait!
Good news! I finally have made some progress on the car show thing. We'll be having a car show at Marley's from 10am to 2pm on Saturday, May 19th. We'll probably give a few trophies out. And people can go into Marley's to eat during the show. More to come.....

Hey everyone,
I have the schedule finalized for the UMG: The Schedule
I've also updated the main UMG page: Upper Midwest 3/S Gathering 2012
We are up to 55 people signed up for the UMG. The current list is at: UMG sign-up list Its not too late to get signed up and get a hotel room booked for a fun weekend in Wisconsin Dells!
This year we also have a couple of sponsors. Alan from 3SGTO.org is donating a couple of $50 gift certificates. One for Ninja Performance and the other to IPS. Thanks Alan! Also, Dan from Midwest Turbo Connection is giving us some giveaways. Thanks Dan! We'll give these prizes away at the 3/S Car Show on Saturday.
We are less than two weeks away from the UMG!! Are you ready?

Hey everyone,
We have a few more sign ups. We are up to 59: UMG sign-up list
I'm getting some of the paperwork together for the car show. We'll be giving away three trophies. Best 91-93 3/S, Best 94-99 3/S, and Best Overall. Everyone who gets their 3/S in the show, will also be able to vote. When you register your car on Saturday morning, you'll get a voting slip. So each car will need a car sign. Then you'll get a car number to put on your sign when you register.
To get a jump start, you can download your sign and fill it out before the show and print it off. Here is a link to the sign:

Here is an example of one of my signs:

For those of you familiar with the All Mitsu Cookout, its pretty much an exact copy of that. You can also fill out your sign the day of the show.
The UMG is almost here!!!

I will have to cancel, my car isn't ready and I already cancelled my room at Baker's.
Thanks to everyone who made it out to the UMG this last weekend. We had some nice weather and some nice cars. I'll get some pictures up soon. I am disappointed in the turnout. We only had 41 3/Ses show up. This is the lowest turnout since 2003. Next year we'll have a goal. Either we get 50+ 3/Ses there or I'm ending the UMG.
You've been warned.
yeh, like that would happen :p you have the 3S bug you'll keep having UMG's till your old and grey.
I'm actually very serious about it what I said. I can still feed my 3/S hobby without doing the UMG every year. Our attendance was so poor I couldn't even get the minimum of 20 people for the group rate on the Upper Dells Boat Tour. Luckily they still gave us the group rate.
