Trevor ran Mobil1 15w-50 for many years with no issues, until he eventually went with an oversize engine. During his upgrade, he inspected his bearings and said they were still looking great. After putting in an aftermarket radiator, coolant cap, vented hood, etc, he started running 5w, and I think he even tried 0w.
Myself, I also used 15w-50 for years. I live in a hot climate and wanted the extra protection it can afford. To be completely honest, I'm not sure what's in the car now. It could be RedLine, AMSoil, or Mobil 1, and would either be a 10w-40 or 15w-50.

I use Castrol Syntec 5W-50 or Mobile1 20W-50 ... I've got absurd oil pressure at start up (hence why I go with the 5W-50 typically), but at HOT idle, it's like 20 psi at 900-1000 RPM. If the oil pressure were lower than that, it would make me nervous. Bearings look good.
