It is most likely the same issue as an RROD. The GPU chip must have unseated itself from the board. Try the typical RROD fix on it if you can. This has worked for me before.

If you open the xbox, microsoft will no service it. Just an FYI. I have a XBOX 360 repair service, if you want yours fixed, just send me a pm and we can work something out. Word of the wise, do not do the towel trick, penny trick, or unplugged fan trick to fix the issue. If it works its only temporary, more often than not it will fry your system. Also do not do the heatgun method, although this is a better method than the other tricks, you still run a high risk of screwing your xbox 360 up even more.
