You could just load some oil into the TC with it jacked up, leave the level plug out & lower it, it will drain off excess. Just dont forget to jack it back up & put the plug back in:D

Buy a pack of 10mm wrenches while you're at it.
I was just kidding at the throwing wrenches at the car part. Wrenches are best suited for wall darts
well my new problem is. i found the fill plug but the downpipe is in the way. really dont want to start taking pieces off..obviously my extensive mechanical skills are very basic. thats usually why i never touch my cars.
In the way? You mean in the way for a socket, right? You should be able to get a wrench on it, unless your downpipe got all hepped up on mountain dew and came at your transfer case like a spider monkey

usually you can barely get it off with a open-end wrench. it'll probably get messy with the oil transfer pump but you'll live.
k thanks guys i appreciate the help. ill try a wrench tommorow. i cant make much more of a mess than what i did today when i was trying to put a little gear fluid in through the bottom drain plug.. i thought it was a tight enough fit with the tube so that it wouldnt leak right back out..lol not the first time i been wrong.( I needed to move it and wanted at least a little fluid in the transfer case).
Hope you just pushed the car out instead of driving it....
With some penetrating lube and the correct extensions/u-joints, the downpipe comes off pretty easy. Well, that's assuming you have the car up high enough to access everything decent. (I recommend hi-lift jack stands and a hi-lift jack.)
