This issue is what has stopped me from getting a standalone. I know someone who makes standalones in Arizona and I might be the first VR4 if I go with him. His customers are mostly Supra's, new GTR's, and V35's. A friend of mine knows the owner really well and I guess they have some software that tricks the OBDII tests.

Overall, I think the whole emissions thing is a pain in the ass. I have another friend who has a TT 300ZX and he always had trouble with emissions. He registers his car out of our county and in one that doesn't have emissions....but its just a pain in the ass.
