I've spoken with all the tracks involved and there are dates available at each within our chosen timeframe. However, they're not going to reserve anything until I'm willing to sign a contract and put the money down.

Hmm, guess the only option is to vote Pittsburgh, hope for the best with dates and if they don't work at least make it down for the road course. :)
There ya go. :) Or change the other plans so you can come hang with us for a week. Even better!
I'm in the same boat as Terry. If it's in July there is no chance I can come the entire time. Might be able to come just for a day though and do some road coursing on the new track (good idea!).
I thought St. Louis would be in the running since we had a good turn out there last time. I was also crossing my fingers for a return to Memphis, although I knew it was a long shot. It's also an easier sell to try and get some Florida 3S people interested in attending if it's not too far north. Michigan might even prevent me from attending if it doesn't fall perfectly into my work/vacation schedule.
Another opportunity to go on the Indy 500 for the 25th Anniversary would be hard to pass up I think.
I like this idea, next thing I sell is going towards this.
These are both valid options. When we were in St. Louis, our numbers were actually down. We lost all the East Coast people, but gained some St. Louis people who don't normally attend. Memphis lost out for the same reason Bowling Green did - it was just too darned hot! That was my personal opinion, though. The biggest reason we chose the three we did is this... And it's not very scientific... First, they're all closer to us. Without the additional seed money that we usually have, we need to keep the options closer. Memphis is a two-day drive for me, while St. Louis is a very long day, just like Bowling Green was. Second, we went by what people talked to us about at NG15. The three locations I heard again and again and again were Pittsburgh, Michigan, and Indy. I'm not opposed to adding St. Louis and/or Memphis into the mix, if you think we need to do that. The NG is for everyone who attends, it's not about me.
Voted for Indy
