To be fair with modern motorcycles you're pretty much dead in the water without factory diagnostic kit already.
You can see issues with modifying drive by wire coding and ABS software BUT if you have bought the car it should be your choice what you do with it..
What they are saying is that you buy the car, you buy the rights to use the software in it, without the right to change it.
Personally I could care less. I'd never buy a new car wi the intention of modding it. Our new cars are a-b only. I have old Mitsubishi pos cars to play with.
That said, if someone buys a new gtr, Lamborghini, Porsche, etc, and wants to mod it, just throw in a haltech.
As you say, buy a new R35 GTR and have the option of faster spool and another 100hp with just software/ decats, what would you do..
